COVID Response

Update 7/16/21

The KCP Board and Teachers are in the process of updating school policies as they relate to COVID-19 for the 2021-22 school year. We adhere to the most recent guidance from the Washington DOH and CDC, and new guidance is expected to be released over the course of the summer. We will provide detailed policies and procedures to all enrolled families by the end of August. In general, though, families can expect the following precautions to remain in place for Fall 2021:

  • Masks will be required indoors for everyone 5+ and strongly encouraged for children ages 2-4.
  • Everyone entering the building will complete a health screening.
  • We will continue to practice increased cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting as well as frequent handwashing/sanitization.
  • We will adhere to the most recent health guidance regarding returning to school after symptoms of illness.

Note: All preschool classes, Board meetings, and extracurricular activities fall under the DOH’s guidance for Childcare. Parent Education meetings (including Orientation) fall under the guidance for Higher Education and Olympic College Safe Start policies.
